Who We Are
The disciples on the road to Emmaus who met the risen Lord Jesus reflected with awe, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” (Luke 24:32). This is what we seek, and by God’s grace, what we find – the glory of encountering the risen Lord Jesus, encountering him through the open scriptures.
We welcome you to join with us as we seek the Lord Jesus in worship, in service, and in mission. Mt. Pleasant is a community of faith where you can grow in your walk with God. We are especially blessed with:

Meet Pastor Rich
Rev Dr Richard Herbster has been the pastor of Mt. Pleasant since 2001. He is passionate about teaching, preaching, and serving Christ’s Church (both at Mt. Pleasant and beyond) through those gifts. Particular areas of focus and concern are: adult education, encouraging strong and healthy marriages, discipleship, and leadership. Pastor Rich is married to his wife, Amy. They have six children.

Mt. Pleasant is a congregation of Christ’s church, committed to advancing Christ’s kingdom through the proclamation of the gospel as revealed in holy scriptures, and actively engaged in outreach and service to the community with a special emphasis on children, youth, and families.
