Mt. Pleasant Childcare
Mt. Pleasant offers childcare services and Early Learning Programs Monday through Friday from 6:00am – 6:00pm for infants through kids twelve years of age. We have outstanding Pre-school and Pre-K programs, a summer Day Camp program available for school age children, and before and after school programs. We are a member of the Pennsylvania Keystone Stars Program and currently have a “Star One Rating.” Our curriculum is Christian based and we view this as a ministry and outreach to these children and our community. About Us
Mt Pleasant Church has been providing Christian childcare to our community for over 35 years. We care for children ages six weeks through 12 years, providing them with a safe, nurturing, environment where they can learn and grow.
Our year-round program is a ministry of the church, providing a strong foundation for future success, and includes classes for infants, tiny toddlers, toddlers, preschool, and pre-kindergarten. Mt Pleasant Childcare offers Christian based learning, focusing on the needs of each child and ensuring their readiness for the next step in their development. We start our day with prayer, say grace before lunch, and do Bible lessons weekly.
Your child’s day will include a morning and afternoon snack. A hot breakfast and/or lunch are available for purchase. Menus are distributed monthly and can also be viewed on our web page.
Tuition is by the hour or a daily rate, and scheduling is flexible.
Our Staff
Our staff members are experienced in child development and early childhood education. Each staff member maintains the state required clearances, CPR and First Aid training, as well as continued education training. They are committed to supporting our children’s cognitive, emotional, social, physical, and spiritual growth and development.

Early Learning Programs
Infant, Tiny Toddlers, Toddlers
Mt Pleasant Childcare is committed to providing your infant or toddler with individualized care in a loving, Christian environment. Our infant and toddler staff are comprised of compassionate teachers who seek to promote cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in your child. Our Infant class follows the needs of each individual child, with a child lead schedule. The Tiny Toddler and Toddler classes follow consistent daily routines, including scheduled meals, circle time, and nap time. All programs focus on gross, fine motor, and language development. We also incorporate music, movement, and literacy into each day, and know the value of learning found through play!
Preschool/Pre-K
Mt Pleasant Child Care offers a Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Program daily from 9am-12pm. Children attending for daycare are automatically included in these programs. We have a three-year old preschool and four-year old preschool class, as well as two pre-kindergarten classes.
Our staff fosters cognitive, physical, emotional, social, and spiritual growth in your child. Developmentally appropriate learning and play will involve your child in exploration, creativity, and daily construction of knowledge.
Our Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten Programs include consistent, structured routines, thematic curriculum, literacy and phonic skills, math and science, music and movement, and lots of learning through play. We also play on the playground daily when weather permits and take field trips!
School-Age
Mt Pleasant Childcare offers School-Age Care for children before and after school, as well as on no school days and through the Summer. Hopewell Area School District buses to and from our facility. Our School-Age program offers indoor and outdoor activities, games, movies, and age-appropriate play. In the Summer, school-age children also enjoy Vacation Bible School, a 5-Day Club by Child Evangelism Fellowship, theme weeks, and a field trip.

Mt Pleasant Childcare is seeking a Pre-K Teacher for the 2026-2027 School Year. Applicant must have a background in early childhood education.
We are also hiring child caregivers for the Summer with the possibility of staying on staff.
Candidates would be compassionate, patient child caregivers helping us to provide a nurturing, safe “home-away-from-home”. The responsibilities of the child-caregiver include creating an enriching learning environment and looking after the basic needs of the children under their care. Our hours are Monday through Friday from 6 AM to 6 PM. We are looking for both full and part time.To be a successful Child Caregiver, you should be patient, positive, gentle, enthusiastic, and fun-loving. Ultimately, a top-notch child caregiver loves working with children and is passionate about child development and care.
All childcare clearances and a physical are required.
