LET THE CHILDREN COME
At Mt Pleasant, our kids spend their Sunday school time learning the Westminster Shorter Catechism and memorizing God’s Word through songs, games, and discussion. Fun tools connect them to each other, to great truth and to the God of the Bible! Meanwhile, adults learn how we can all interact with the kids to get them — and keep them — excited about this learning!

Every family in our congregation receives its own copy of “Training Hearts, Teaching Minds”, a great interactive family devotional based on the Shorter Catechism. If your home doesn’t already practice household worship, this is a great way to start — and it ties in directly with what your children are learning in Sunday School! Enjoy time together and how to engage your “home team” in learning God’s truth.

Children & Worship

Sundays during the sermon of our 10:30am Worship service

This program is a preparatory worship experience for children that are ages 3 yrs through 1st grade. The Worship leaders review the church calendar, sing worship songs, present Biblical stories and Parables using wooden figures and other materials, read from the Bible and pray with the children to create an environment that cultivates their imagination and invites them to love our God. The Worship Helpers model appropriate worship behavior, redirect the children and assist the Worship Leader as needed.

Nursery

Sundays, 9:30-11:45am

Our nursery is available and staffed for children under the age of 3 during Sunday School hour and the second Worship service. They play games, read books, sing songs, play and have an age-appropriate snack. Our nursery is also open to nursing mothers and infants.

Kids’ Choir

Wednesdays from 6-7pm

Kids’ Choir is an adventure of singing, learning, and fun! We have two groups- ages 3-7 and 8-13. Our younger group meets in the choir room and our older group utilizes the youth garage. We gather on Wednesday evenings 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm from September through May. We start with a Bible story, do some singing, play a game and end with a little treat. We usually sing on the second Sunday of the month for the church service and present a big production for Christmas. We end our year with a crazy picnic at a local playground.

Kids’ Club

Mt. Pleasant Kids’ Club is open to children ages 4 to fourth grade and runs weekly on Saturday mornings in February and March from 9:30-11:30am. The program consists of an opening ceremony to include praise, pledges, and a skit. The kids then focus on their Bible lesson before enjoying a snack. Then they do crafts, music, or games before we close out our morning with a trivia game to review what we learned. We also have a special bowling outing. At the end of the program, we have our talent show and lunch with our families.

Good News Club

Good News Club, sponsored by Child Evangelism Fellowship of Beaver County, PA, Inc.
is an exciting, fun-filled weekly club for kids! Each meet features dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary stories, meaningful fun songs,
life-changing scripture memory, and snacks! Your child will learn respect for authority, moral values, and Biblical principles and character qualities. The club is taught by specially trained Christians who are concerned for the spiritual well-being of your child. All leaders are screened as required by the Child Evangelism Fellowship.

Vacation Bible School (VBS)

One Week in the Summer, 6:15-8:30pm

VBS is a very exciting week during the summer where children ages 4-6th grade learn amazing stories about God and His love. There is a theme through out the week and Bible lessons, music, crafts, games and a snack are incorporated into that theme. VBS is a great opportunity for your children to have fun learning about God and His unconditional love for us.

Join us and be empowered to follow Jesus and be a spiritual champion!

A former roadside attraction is now full of rusted relics. Some say this place is hopeless—but is it? As kids see restoration in the junkyard, they’ll explore God’s redemption plan in Scripture to make sense of our broken world, experience His help for today, and find sure hope for the future!

Kids ages 4-6th grade will hear the Gospel every day and enjoy Bible stories, games, music and snacks.
